This place deserves all of the love it’s getting. I’m writing this review a bit late- a few years ago, I stopped by the morning after my wedding for some pastries. The staff noticed the mehndi on my arms, commented on how cool it looked and asked what the significance was prompting me to chat about the night before. They were SO sweet and refused to let me pay. WHO DOES THAT?!?!?! In a time where it feels like our society is lacking humanity, community, and kind-heartedness, I think about this gesture very often. To top it off, the pastries were out of this world. Thank you! I will never be able to repay the way your team made me feel that morning.
Beautiful shop! Came for the jam to take as gifts back home, was in awe of all the fresh pastries and breads. Wide variety! We even received a sample. Employees were so kind. Marking this as a favorite.
We stopped here for breakfast and coffee on our way out to Lincoln city and we are SO glad we did. It’s the cutest shop with very kind people. We got the sour dough cinnamon roll, potato cheddar and chive galette, and jam lattes! The cinnamon roll was easily the best cinnamon roll we’ve ever had and the galette and lattes were incredible as well. We will be going back here!
This bakery has wonderful sweet and savory baked goods and the best sour dough bread! They were graciously open on Mother’s Day for all us mothers. Thank you dear Alchemist Jam and Bakery staff, we appreciate you!
This bakery is our favorite go-to whenever we have family or friends visiting. The baked goods are delicious, the art for all their products is beautiful, and the jams are mouth-watering. Seriously, worth every cent.
Why doesn't this place get more love on here? They really deserve it! The pastries are so good, the staff is super nice, and the inside is really cute. You all are awesome! We don't have very many bakery options in town. Let’s not let this one go. Update: love this place.
These are the best pastries I've had in years! If you haven't stopped in yet, you're missing out.
Great place! Everything we got was delicious. And they were so friendly. People were lined up here if that tells you anything. Not in our photo was a marionberry danish and almond croissant. We had to try it all and we were not disappointed.
No seating inside, but a couple of tables and chairs outside. It’s a busy place, so don’t plan on sitting down. Service was fast and staff was extremely friendly. Both of us got iced americanos as they don’t have cold brew. The espresso was smooth and bold. It did not taste burnt or too acidic. We split a mixed berry galette and an orange cardamom bun. Blown away by both of these pastries. It’s rare to find enough cardamom in a cardamom bun, but they nailed it. The galette was perfect.
We were visiting from Central Oregon and wanted to try a place we hadn’t tried yet for breakfast in McMinnville. We were also trying to find local sourdough loaves. We were pleasantly surprised as we walked out with a box full of goodies, buttermilk biscuits, and 3 different kinds of jam to try. Our favorite is the raspberry/cardamom/rosehip jam! It goes great on their biscuits, and we’ve even enjoyed it on English muffins and scones! So good! It’s a little venue, so the line is often out the door…but good things come to those who wait! It’ll definitely be worth the wait if you get there when they are busy.
